View of our Planet on Earth Day 2026.
Produced by combining multiple images acquired by the Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites during the spring of 2025, the mosaic shows land surfaces in natural colour: vegetation appears in green tones, deserts in pale beige. Snow and ice remain visible across northern Europe and Greenland, indicating seasonal conditions at higher latitudes.
The European Union is working towards reaching climate neutrality by 2050 by reducing emissions, restoring ecosystems and biodiversity, transitioning to clean energy, and supporting global cooperation. Copernicus data support the monitoring of these changes and inform environmental policy.
